MICHAEL F. SAPP, AIA

As an experienced architect and designer, Mr. Sapp carries a number of roles within the firm of Environs Architects/Planners, Inc., including project programming, planning studies, building design, project management, document production, estimating, interior design and construction administration as well as business development and contract negotiations.

Mr. Sapp has 30 years of experience in the field of Architecture. His career has encompassed the participation in the design of a wide variety of projects throughout the Mid-West region, including commercial, institutional, industrial, educational and residential projects. As principal of Environs Architects/Planners, Inc. since 1986, Mr. Sapp has been responsible for many noted and award winning projects including:

* Cambridge House of O’Fallon – O’Fallon, Illinois
* Cambridge House of Maryville – Maryville, Illinois
* Comprehensive Grant Program – Granite City Housing Authority
* First Bank – Waterloo, Illinois; Wentzville, Missouri, and Johnston City, Peoria, Galesburg Illinois
* St. Mary’s Catholic Church – Alton, Illinois
* Hickory Point Assisted Living Center – Forsyth, Illinois
* Holiday Inn & Suites – Carbondale, Illinois
* Southwestern Illinois Correctional Center
* Immanuel Lutheran Chapel – Alterations and Additions
* Rend Lake Resort and Conference Center

Mr. Sapp has served on numerous committees for the St. Louis Chapter of the American Institute of Architects as well as participating in the development of our community through involvement local interest groups. He is an Eagle Scout and maintains additional special interests in architectural renderings, interior design and computer applications as they may be applied in the field of Architecture.
